"Nick Foles will at least have one full week of practice with the first-team offense to prepare for the next time he's pressed into action, which almost certainly will be Sunday against the Redskins.

Foles, the Eagles' rookie who replaced a concussed Michael Vick in the second quarter of Sunday's 38-23 loss to Dallas, is slated to take all the practice reps Wednesday and beyond as Vick on Monday was still feeling symptoms.

Head coach Andy Reid said Vick won't be ready to practice Wednesday and that Foles is preparing to make his NFL starting debut at loud and rambunctious FedEx Field. Foles would be the first rookie to start at quarterback under Reid since Donovan McNabb in 1999.

"It's important that he has the silent count down and understands that, which he had work on in the preseason," Reid said, "and then that he has his fundamentals down and he knows the gameplan."
